About this speaker
Rossina is an OIF/OEF veteran of the US Army and currently operates her private mental health practice, Element of Discovery, LLC. She recently founded a Therapist of Color Collaborative and is a recipient of a Community Crime Victims Service Grant which provides no-cost mental health services to victims and their immediate families recovering from the incidence of crimes. Professionally, she has held many positions within the Federal, State, and Local government working with issues of homelessness, justice involvement, and workforce reintegration. Rossina has served the active military and veteran community by providing transitional services to separating personnel, family programming to Guard and Reserve personnel, Community Based Healthcare Coordination for Wounded Warriors, and completed a Wounded Warrior Congressional Fellowship in the office of Congresswoman Diana DeGette.
She is a graduate of Argosy University – Denver earning her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Career Counseling. She has been endorsed as a: Board Certified-Nationally Certified Counselor, Global Career Development Facilitator, and is a candidate for Licensure in Professional Counseling and Addiction Counseling. Her focus is creating access to mental health in communities of color as it pertains to the issues of homelessness, recidivism, substance abuse, and trauma recovery.
